Moffat Independent Hostel is just a few minutes from junction 15 on the A74 (M). We are one hour’s drive south of Glasgow, and one and a half hours from Edinburgh.

Getting Here by Rail
Our nearest railway station is the mainline station at Lockerbie which is 15 miles south of Moffat.
Lockerbie is well connected to Edinburgh and Glasgow, and there are direct trains from many cities including London (3 hours 50 minutes) and Manchester (2 hours 5 minutes).
From Lockerbie the regular 380 minibus travels directly to Moffat, usually taking around half an hour – see timetable here.
Getting Here by Bus
The 101 bus connects Edinburgh with Moffat and takes approximately 90 minutes – see timetable here.
The X74 bus connects Glasgow and Moffat and takes approximately 90 minutes – see timetable here.
